YOUR ROAD TO A BETTER HOME
Located on Milwaukee Avenue, the Niles Design District is a home improvement destination for consumers, designers and contractors. For those looking to renovate a kitchen or bathroom, expand with a new addition or enhance their curb appeal, the Niles Design District in Niles, Illinois offers everything in one convenient location.
“The goal of the Niles Design District is to capitalize on the existing businesses in a close proximity and create a marketing opportunity for home designers, builders and contractors to work collectively to drive customers, build brand awareness and expand market share. This district creates and fosters an environment where all participating businesses benefit as well as the community at large,” Niles Economic Development Coordinator Ross Klicker said in a statement shared with chamber of commerce members.
The design district’s physical boundaries are roughly set along Milwaukee Avenue from Oakton Street south to Albion Avenue, but village officials say all design related businesses within the village are welcome.
The district is part of a broader plan to revitalize the village by encouraging empty-nesters to renovate their homes before leaving them, making those homes more attractive to young families. The plan includes showcasing quality public schools serving the village, rolling out and marketing the village’s planned Home Design District, and marketing public transit oriented development.
